The Playlist
This platform is for all the music lovers who want to come together in community. With The Playlist, you’ll be able to interact with other people who share your love of music across genres. Also, you can learn from music historians, journalists, and columnists, as people give their reviews and look back on music history. The Playlist will bring two worlds together of both the artists
Role: UI/UX Designer
Tools Used: Figma, Miro, Notion
Problem Statement
Music is an essential part of our lives and brings us together. Different genres and artists fosters community for so many people. Other apps become too convoluted with other people’s ideas and opinions on art and we miss out on truly enjoying bodies of work.
The Playlist will be the common ground for people to get with others that love music as much as they do. They’ll be able to discuss albums, artists, new releases, and learn the history behind how many themes came to be.
Solution
Design Thinking and UX Research
Standout Features:
Playlist based songs that are saved to your spotify or apple music
Trivia on how much you know about the artists
Columnists writing articles about new and old music discoveries
Quizzes to help narrow down what you’re looking for in terms of genres and artists
Genre generator to help choose songs that can flow within the next song
